I’ve read a ton of X-Men over the years - it’s easily my favorite series. Beyond the powers and action, what really draws me in is how it’s always been an allegory for real-world struggles. Magneto and Professor X reflect the philosophies of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., and the tension between those viewpoints makes the story feel meaningful and timeless.
